Remember and give thanks
We are learning to notice our growth across the year, give thanks to the people who helped, and name one hope for what comes next.
Learning Intention

Biblical Big Idea
Giving thanks is not pretending the year was easy. It means noticing the good, naming the people who helped, and carrying that hope into what comes next.

ABOUT THIS LESSON
Growth, gratitude and next hope: looking back on the year and thanking the people who helped. The lesson helps students notice our growth across the year, give thanks to the people who helped, and name one hope for what comes next.
TEACHING INSIGHT
Giving thanks is not pretending the year was easy. It means noticing the good, naming the people who helped, and carrying that hope into what comes next.
FACILITATION FOCUS
The main application is “Say the thank-you”, where students move from discussing the idea to trying it in a concrete example. Keep returning to the takeaway: “Growth is easier to see when you stop and give thanks for it.” Look for whether students name a concrete change over time rather than a general “I got better”, and can say roughly when it changed.
