Welcome across difference
We are learning to use curiosity and one inclusive action to welcome people who are different from us.
Learning Intention
We are learning to use curiosity and one inclusive action to welcome people who are different from us.
Biblical Big Idea
Every person shares the same God-given dignity, whatever their language, culture or ability. Welcome is not a favour we hand out — it is how we treat someone already made in God’s image.

ABOUT THIS LESSON
Using curiosity and one small inclusive action to welcome people unlike us. The lesson helps students use curiosity and one inclusive action to welcome people who are different from us.
TEACHING INSIGHT
Every person shares the same God-given dignity, whatever their language, culture or ability. Welcome is not a favour we hand out — it is how we treat someone already made in God’s image.
FACILITATION FOCUS
The main application is “Design a welcome move”, where students move from discussing the idea to trying it in a concrete example. Keep returning to the takeaway: “The best welcome is curious, respectful and small enough to keep.” Look for whether students barriers are named as shared class conditions, not as complaints about individuals.
